- You need For the dough.
- Take 2 cups all-purpose flour(Maida)
- Get 1/2 cup wheat semolina (Rava)
- Take 2 tablespoons thick ghee
- You need 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Take 1/4 cup cold milk
- You need For the lamination
- Provide 6 tablespoons thick ghee
- Provide 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- Use Ghee for frying

Steps to make Chirote:
- Mix Maida Rava salt together and 3tablespoons of ghee rub it properly to make it like breadcrumbs
- Add little cold milk at a time and make a stiff dough
- Mix Ghee and cornstarch together and whisk it to make it light in consistency
- Now make 4-5 discs of dough very thin of around 7-8 inch diameter
- Take one disc at a time apply ghee cornstarch mix over it spread it evenly,stack all the discs over with ghee cornstarch paste in between each of them and apply the paste on the last disc too
- Now roll all the stacked discs like a Swiss roll press it lightly and seal all the edges
- Now cut the roll length wise first and then make one inch pieces of each log
- Now press each cut piece diagonally with cut surface down
- Fry all the pieces to light golden colour in heated oil
- Sprinkle powdered sugar on each of them when they are warm
- Store them in airtight container for 7-8 days
