The ingredients needed to make Gulgulle or ram laddoo:
- You need 1 cup moong dal
- Prepare 1 tbsp chana dal
- Provide 2 green chillies
- Get 1 pinch hing /asafoetida
- Get 1/2 tsp salt
- Take 1 pinch baking soda
- Prepare as required oil for frying
- Provide for garnishing–
- Use 1 tbsp green (mint +coriander)chutney
- You need 1 tbsp tamarind chutney
- Provide 1 medium sized radish grated and squeezed gently to remove water
- Prepare 2 tbsp coriander finely chopped
- Provide 1 pinch chaat masala
Steps to make Gulgulle or ram laddoo:
- Wash and soak moong dal and chana dal mix in sufficient water for 4 hours
- Drain off excess water and tranfer the dal mix to blender. Blend to a smooth paste. Add water if required.
- Transfer the mix to a bowl and add salt, soda, hing/asafoetida
- Mix well and beat the mix for few minutes.
- Heat oil in kadai until medium hot. Take a tsp and add small dollops of mix into oil
- Stir the dollops and they will turn into small gulgulle or pakode. Fry till golden brown.
- Drain off excess oil using a tissue paper.
- Place the gulgulle on serving dish. Serve with green chutney and tamarind chutney. Garnish with grated radish, chaat masala, coriander leaves and fried chillies.
- Serve as delicious snack.
