- For dal:- Rinse and soak the yellow moong dal in the water for atleast an hour and discard the water.
- Add the dal into a pressure cooker and add water, salt, haldi and ghee and put the lid on.
- Let it cook on medium heat for two whistle. Let it release naturally and open the lid.
- For masala:- Lightly roast and grind all the ingredients in a grinder.
- For chutney:- Firstly collect all the ingredients. And coarsely grind and adjust seasoning when done.
- Assemble the chaat:- when it's time to serve the dish heat the dal to a boil.
- In a serving bowl crush padi and ladle in the warmer dal.
- Add a little a bit of every topping on top one by one. And the dish is ready to serve.
