- Boil the khicdi in cooker with 3 glass water, After a boil discard the dirt then add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder. Lower the flame cover and cook the khichdi for 15 minutes.
- Heat the ghee in a pan add cumin seeds let them crackle then add garlic, onion fry until golden add broken whole red chilli and switch off the flame quickly, reserve some tadka for garnish.
- Open the lid and pour the tadka on khichdi. Garnish with remaining tadka, onion rings, lemon slice, green chilli, Serve hot with pickle.
