- Wash rice, moong dal and tuar dal. Soak in water for atleast 20 minutes. Hot 2 tbsp ghee in a pressure cooker, add drained rice and dal. Pour 5 cups of Water, add sugar,salt and turmeric powder. Pressure cook for 3 whistle on a medium flame.
- Now in a pan heat 1 tbsp ghee. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf and asafoetida.let the cumin crackle. Add ginger paste and saute for 2 minutes.nowfry onions for 3 minutes. Add capsicum, tomato and green chillies in it. Now add red chilli powder, taste to salt,garam masala, cinnamon powder and stir well.
- Now add cooked khichdi and add more water for mushy consistency. Add chopped coriander leaves. Mix all ingredients well. More ghee on the khichdi and serve it.
