Instructions to make Khichdi:
- In pressure cooker heat 1 tbsp of oil. Once oil heated add musturd seeds and wait till it starts crackling. Adr jeera, curry leaves and hing with ginger garlic paste. Saute it for few minutes
- Later add onion and chopped potato.and stir it till onion become translucent.
- Add red chilli powder, kala masala, turmeric and mix and wait till it starts seperating oil.
- Add soaked rice and dal and stir it with masala. Once it mixed well add water which should be double of rice and dal. Mix it and add salt
- Once it starts boiling put lid on and cook it for 2 whistles. Open lid once pressure cooker cool down garnish it with coriander.
