Steps to make Bottle Gourd kofta curry:
  1. In a bowl peel and grate the lauki and add salt and black - pepper then squeeze well.
  2. Now add the besan and spices and mix well and prepare - kofta. While forming shape you can add 1 raisin or 1 - tamarind pulp(This is completely optional,you can omit it - But i like it so)
  3. Now coat the koftas with corn flour and deep fry. Drain on - the absorbent paper and keep aside.
  4. Important to Note: - After grating squeeze the bottle gourd to make the shape - and crisp koftas.
  5. While frying the flame plays an important role - Flame must - be low to medium flame. otherwise the koftas will break in - oil.
  6. Curry: - Heat oil in a pan and add cumin,green cardamom and bay - leaf. Add turmeric and chilli powder.
  7. Now add prepared onion tomato paste and saute well.
  8. Add ginger garlic paste and cook til raw smell goes away.
  9. Add coriander powder,cumin powder,red chilli and salt.
  10. Add the squeezed water from lauki and 1 tablespoon of - curd at room temperature..
  11. Mix well and boil. Add garam masala and serve well with - chapatis.
