  6. Now take out the khichdi in tart mould, press it nicely, then unmould it on a serving platter, in this way serve the other portions of khichdi
  7. Garnish with grated paneer, papad, hung curd and coriander leaves, all these accompaniments are must with khichdi, as it is said khichdi ke chaar yaar, dahi, papad, ghee aur achar
  8. Serve with curd, green chutney, lemon pickle and ghee
  9. It can be made with any other dal also like chana dal, moong dal, masoor dal etc
