- For sambhar. Pressure cook half glass of toor dhal for 5 to 6 whistle it should be mushy.Keep aside. Add turmeric to dhal. Take a kadai add oil then half teaspoon mustard seeds half teaspoon Chanadhal and two three methi Dhanya curry pata Handful hing little bit and cook well. Now cook the drum stick in tamarind water squeezed from lemon size tamarind. To this add 3 spoons of sambhar powder salt and boil for 3 mins Once done add the dhal and boil for two more mins.
- Serve with curds and pickle and salted cucumbers.
