  4. Add the chilli powder, turmeric, salt, fried peanuts and chillies to the potato mash. Mix well.
  5. Squeeze in juice of half a lime to the mixture.
  6. Apply a tsp oil on both palms and roll the mixture into medium sized balls. Freeze them for 10 mins before the final step.
  7. Dip the potato balls in the besan batter until it’s coated well. Then drop it one by one into hot oil. Deep fry until it’s cooked all the way through.
  8. Once cooked remove the bondas from pan. Drain off excess oil on tissues. Serve hot with chutney of choice or tomato ketchup.
