- Use 4 ripe tomatoes
- Take 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Get 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- You need 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

- Dry roast fenugreek seeds in a separate karahi and grind it to a powder.
- Heat oil in a karahi and put mustard seeds and when mustard seeds splutter add asafoetida and saute for 30 seconds.
- Now add tomato puree and cook it on low flame till oil leaves the karahi. It may take 10 minutes.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt, fenugreek seeds powder and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
- Transfer it in a serving bowl and serve with rice, dosa or idli.
