Steps to make Sakkarai Mango pongal:
  1. In a pressure cooker/ pan, add 1/4 tsp ghee and roast the moong dal.
  2. Add water, rice and Pressure cook it. Mash it once done.
  3. Add Powder jaggery, mangoes and cardamom powder and heat it with water just to immerse it and bring to boil.
  4. Let the jaggery completely dissolve and filter it and add to the mashed rice in the cooker.
  5. Add cloves and switch off the stove, give a quick stir.cook for 2-3 minutes. - Add nuts, cardamom for garnishing.
