The ingredients needed to make Gulkand Phirni:
  1. Get 1 liter milk
  2. Take 1/4 cup rice
  3. Provide 2 tbsp gulkand (rose petal jam)
  4. Provide 2 tbsp rose syrup
  5. Use 2 tsp sugar
  6. Take 1 tsp almond silvers
Instructions to make Gulkand Phirni:
  1. Soak the rice in water for a couple of hours. (I took broken rice as I like grainy texture.)you can take whole rice then grind it into a coarse paste.
  2. Pour milk in thick bottom vessel and bring it to boil, once it comes to boil, turn the flame to low.
  3. After 2-3 minutes, add soaked rice and let the rice cook in milk on low flame. Stir occasionally.
  4. As the rice will cook, our phirni also becomes thick. Now add sugar and cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add gulkand, mix well and turn off the heat. After it becomes warm add rose syrup and mix well.
  6. Chill it. Garnish with almonds and rose syrup and serve chilled.
