- Use 200 g tadka mix (mixed dal)
- Get 150 g mushroom rinsed and cut into pieces
- Use 1 onion chopped
- Prepare 1 tomato chopped

- Get 1 " cinnamon stick
- You need 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Take 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

- Provide 2 tbsp oil
- Provide 2 1/2 cups water
Instructions to make Mushroom Mixed Dal Tadka:
- Rinse tadka mix (mixed dal) well and soak it in water for about 3 hours.
- Drain and transfer it to a pressure cooker. Add two and a half cups of water with a pinch of salt. Pressurecook it for 2 whistles on a medium flame. Remove from the heat and let the pressure come out of it's own.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cinnamon and cumin seeds. When they sizzle add chopped onion. Saute till onion turns brown. Next add red chilli powder, turmeic powder, ginger garlic paste and salt. Saute till the raw smell of the garlic goes away. Add chopped tomato and cook till soft.
- Next add mushroom and mix it well with the spices. Cover the lid and allow it cook till done. Saute in between to avoid sticking with the pan.
- Now pour the boiled mixed dal into the pan. Mix well and cook on a low flame for few minutes.
- Finally add garam masala powder and kasuri methi. Cover it and turn off the flame.
- Thus ready is the delicious mushroom mixed dal tadka to be served hot with roti, paratha, naan or rice.
