  20. You need 1 tbsp zeera

Instructions to make Panchrangi Dal tadka:
  1. Soak dals for 15 minutes
  2. Add Bengal gram and green mong dal in a cooker with 1 glass water, turmeric powder and salt. Wait till 3 whistles. Remove this in a bowl.
  3. Now add masoor dal,urad dal and skinless mong dal in the same cooker along with some water. Wait for 1 whistle. Remove this in the same bowl as the previous mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai. Add sliced onion, cinnamon stick, cloves and mix well till onion turns golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste. Fry for a minute. Now add chopped tomato and all masala powder and salt to taste.
  5. Cook well till the oil comes on top.Now add the boiled dal mixture from the bowl into this. Mix well. Cook for 5 mins.
  6. For Tadka, add ghee in a pan. Add onion,Zeera, green chillies,curry leaves. Fry a bit and then add this to the kadai and immediately cover with LID.
  7. Serve with roti, nan or rice! Enjoy!
