- Prepare 1 kg Surmai Fish pieces (cleaned)
- You need 1 cup Gram flour (besan)

- Mix together besan, salt and all the dry spices. Spread in small plate.
- Heat oil in a kadhai for deep frying.
- Now dip a piece of fish in the besan mixture from both the sides and fry in the hot oil.
- Fry until the colour turns brown and the fish is cooked.
- Grind together coriander, garlic and green chillies roughly.
- In a shallow pan, heat little oil and add the ground green masala. Now place the fish one by one and let the masala coat the fish from both sides.
