- Use 1 cup masoor dal
- Take 1/4 cup moong dal

Instructions to make Masoor dal and bati:
- To make bati add all ingredients and mix it well. Add some water and knead a dough. Rest the dough for 1/2 hour.
- Make equal balls from the dough. Bake all balls in 180d for 40 to 50 minutes or it turns golden in colour in preheated oven.
- To make dal soak all dals in water for 1/2 hour.
- Drain it and put it in pressure cooker,add 11/2 cup water and cook it till 2 whistle.
- Then add water (as require), salt, lemon juice and turmeric powder and let it boil for 5 min in law flame.
- For tempering heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds.when it crackle,add cumin, dry red chilli and asafetida. Then add tomato paste,red chilli and garam masala, cook it for 1 min.
- Add this tempering in the dal, add coriander leaves.
- In a serving plate put bati and bowl of dal. pour some ghee on batis and enjoy it.
