- Take 1 cup Gram Flour/Besan
- Use 2 tbsp Rice Flour
- Prepare 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves

- Mix the flour and one cup of water and make a batter. Add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric and mix well without lumps.
- Add the chopped coriander leaves and again mix well. Heat a Kadai with a tbsp of oil. Splutter cumin, asafoetida, garlic and green chillies. Saute for a minute and then add a cup of water.
- When the water starts boiling, put the flame on low and add the Besan mix. Keep stirring continuously until it thickens.
- Transfer to a greased plate and spread it. When cool cut them out.
- Now shallow fry the prepared vadis until crisp from both sides. Serve hot with chutney and a hot cup of tea or coffee.
