Most of us have a pretty good idea about what healthy eating is: plenty of fruits and vegetables and not too much fat and sugar. But when it comes to children, knowing what is healthy is merely the start. And even in the event you shop’healthy' it doesn’t necessarily mean your child will eat it.
There is hope. Kids need some additional encouragement and advice along with a few of those strategies your child is guaranteed to consume healthy.
Be a gatekeeper.
It’s likely that the simplest way to get your kids to eat healthy is to remove the less-healthy alternatives. Take control over what food and snack options are in your home. If a kid is hungry they’ll eat it when there isn’t another alternative. Perhaps you have heard of a child starving to death since his parents wouldn’t feed him potato chips?
Keep healthy meals in sight.
As for those less-than-good-for-you foods, maintain them high cabinets and out of your child’s reach. Arrange your fridge and cabinets so that healthy foods will be the primary foods that you see. If you choose to have some unhealthy options in the home keep them out of sight and you and your children are going to be not as likely to choose them as a option.
Make healthy meals convenient.
Wholesome foods, especially fruits and vegetables require little preparation that’s great for your own’starving' kid and you. Take a fruit basket at eye level over the counter in any way times or have a container with carrots and celery sticks prepared to go in the fridge. You might be surprised at how a lot more fruits and vegetables your child will consume simply by having them visible and easy to grab.
Make learning about food enjoyable.
Prepare family foods together, have your child mix the ingredients and serve the meals to the remainder of the household. Select a vegetable garden for a family job and put your child responsible for watering and picking the ripe vegetables. Children who are involved are more likely to be a willing player in the eating process.
Keep an eye on Portion dimensions.
Parents often stress over how much their children should be eating. Whether you are trying to acquire a particular eater to have a bite of green or limit the total amount of dessert your sweet-toothed kid needs watching portions is essential. Knowing the extent of a healthy part will provide you some needed perspective. You may use the USDA’s Guidelines for Healthy Eating to learn about what a healthy part is.

Instructions to make Baked Maggi Lasagna:
- Make the white sauce using 4 tablespoons of Butter, Flour(for thickening),salt, Milk, 1/2 tsp of chilli flakes, 1/2 tsp of italian seasoning, 1/2 tsp of pepper powder. (Increase the quantity of seasoning, after doing a taste test). Once the sauce is prepared..Allow it to Cool. I prepared the Maggi and the sauce simultaneously, so the sauce did not thicken before baking. If the sauce gets thickened, you may dilute with more milk and add enough seasoning and pepper powder.
- Pour the Oil to a pan and add ginger/ garlic pods, vegetables and saute for 3-4 minutes. Add the tomato Puree(I used store bought one),tomato sauce, seasonings, sugar, salt and pepper if needed. After which, 2 cups of water can be added.
- Crumble the noodles into the mix and add the taste mixer and allow it to be cooked. Please do not over cook, it should be half cooked and rest would be balanced out after baking.
- Layer the baking tray with First layer of noodles, then White sauce and repeat till your tray is set with all the ingredients. Garnish with the cheese and dab a generous amount of seasoning and chilli flakes
- Bake at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes/ till Cheese melts and serve with a smile.
