- Take 1 dry red Chilli
- You need 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder

- Boil all the five dals so that they become soft and are ready to be cooked. Assemble all the ingredients so that it becomes easy while cooking. Take a pan and heat oil in it. Add jeera and mustard seeds, let them splutter. Add garlic and green chillies and cook them for a while.
- Add curry leaves onions. After the onions are translucent. Add tomatoes and all the masalas. Mix them well and let them cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Then add the boiled dals.
